Nights and Weekends

Nights and Weekends is a collection of 17 songs that have lived with us for years—songs we've seen on Broadway, watched our friends perform, or sang ourselves in living rooms and on stages. Some first appeared as quick "Quarantunes" videos recorded in our kitchen back in 2020-21, but we always knew they deserved more. This album is our chance to finally do them right.

Recorded over nights and weekends (literally) since 2021, this project became a way to blend our worlds: Juliet's voice, trained in everything from musical theater to classical performance, and Matt's work as a guitarist and producer. We built these arrangements from the ground up with acoustic guitar as the foundation—staying faithful to songs that were already intimate, and reimagining ones originally written for piano or full Broadway orchestras. With a little help from some friends, the result is something ambitious—a double album, no less—but these songs earned that space. They're snapshots of what we love about theater music and what these melodies have meant to us at this point in our lives. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it.
